Aruba Land Based Casinos

aruba-casinosAruba is a popular vacation destination for millions annually. An island just off Venezuela, the northernmost country in South America, people come from all over the world to enjoy the lush beaches, beautiful waters and warm climes. But there’s a lot more to do in Aruba than sunbathe and sip big drinks with little umbrellas seaside.

If you crave gaming action in fabulous surroundings, then come to Aruba. Gambling is done with American currency and there are any number of casinos from which to choose. Bear in mind not all the casinos are open 24 hours, so we’ll let you know which ones have set hours. So let’s do a quick tour, and so as not to appear partial, we’ll go in alphabetical order.

The Alhambra
This is not some fly by night operation, having had the same ownership for over two decades. There are slots (over 300 machines, all thoroughly modern!), eight blackjack tables, poker, roulette and other table games. It runs from ten am til 4 am.

The Casablanca
Located in The Westin, this well-appointed casino offers lots to do without before you’ve placed your first wager! There are free drinks, live music of all kinds and huge H.D. plasma screen t.v.’s. And when you are ready for some gaming action, you’ll have plenty of choices. From brand new slots, roulette, baccarat, blackjack, poker and more, there’s enough to keep the most jaded vacationer occupied and excited from ten in the morning until four the next morning!

Cool Casino
Set in the Riu Palace, this is a gamer’s paradise, offering up a bit of everything. Slots, Roulette, Caribbean Stud and 3 Card Poker, Craps, and more. There’s also video slots and video poker, not to mention a Players Club, all maintained by professional and friendly employees who are there to make your time in the casino (again, 10 am to 4 am) as pleasurable and comfortable as possible.

Copacabana Casino
The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino is home to the Copacabana Casino, where every day is a party! Open from noon to 4 am, have a blast at the “Carnival in Rio”, with y live music and dancing Tuesday to Sunday. And enjoy the action at any of the 4 Roulette tables, 2 baccarat tables, 10 Blackjack tables, and more with Poker, Craps and over 300 slot machines!

There are six others, so there’s not enough space here to go into detail. There’s Crystal and Seaport Casino, The Excelsior, The Casino, The Occidental Grand, Trump Casino and Glitz Casinos. Each with great entertainment and fun for everybody.
